Morning in Vana'diel: Two topics for the price of one!

Morning in Vana'diel is your daily dose of FFXI and all things Vana'diel. Give us your thoughts on the interesting topics of the day! This morning we talk about FFXIV and not about FFXIV.

I wanted to avoid it really, but how could I? It is the topic that is on everyone's lips. As I mentioned yesterday, Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XIV. I can tell you that I am half excited about it and half not so much. It looks really good, and in a style I really like... the style of FFXI. It looks pretty much exactly like FFXI, so much so that the models, the races, the weapons, they all look the same just better. If you peek here, you can see that very familiar Hume hairstyle that Tenzen had. I am not saying that is Tenzen or anything but it is the same exact model. All of the current races have been seen in screenshots so far, and it even looks like the job system maybe the same. I knew that something new was coming, but the problem is that SE specific said this was not going to happen. It wasn't going to be a new Final Fantasy, and it wasn't even supposed to be related. We are supposed to hear more about it today, so I am waiting with mixed feelings and a lot of interest.

And for those that don't want to hear anything more about FFXIV? Well, I have a topic for you too! In recent days, I have been working on developing this site, changing it, modernizing it, and shifting it to be more of a potent portal for current FFXI (and maybe in the future FFXIV) information. This will include more columns, more topics, more information, more advice and more guides. But the real question is what would you from this website? I am done using this site for the normal FFXI blog self-fallatio. I want to use it for the people that read it and actually give something back that they want! So I need to know what you want! I know Iceblazek loves to read about my day-to-day exploits, and he will definitely tell me, but I need to know how to help everyone! Help me help you!
