Pants

Pants are good, especially for a man. They provide protection and they keep special and important body parts warm and in comfort. Pants offer additional benefits, including but not limited to pockets, cover for hairy legs and a place for your belt. Pants come in many different forms, but generally to avoid embarrassing yourself in public pants should not show every detail of what is contained within. Until last night, I was wearing pants of such a nature. This was causing social anxiety disorder. The fear of leaving the Mog House for the mockery these all so important covering dress were sure to induce. And induce they did. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words... words kill. :( I believe the term was "mangina" as the description for the crotch area of my RSE pants. Why Thazienne was so closely examining the crotch of an animated character in a fantasy game I will never know... but I do know that I needed to get out of these pants and into something a little less revealing. And that I finally did last night, after hours of struggle and pain and pants that looked like they were right out of the 80's, I finally got to level 60 on my MNK. You are now witnessing the last picture of me in a pair of RSE pants on my MNK. Somehow the combination of Scorpion Harness managed to outdo the pairing of Jujitsu Gi and the ball-huggers. Now that you have witnessed the horror, you may finally banish it from your mind and start to heal the wounds. Perhaps, in your old age, you may reflect upon these mental scars, and they will be a forced reminder to not let such a situation occur to you... dress warm, dress well, dress in pants with more crotch space.

Where did that come from? I am having a good day, lets go with it. Days come and days go, and there are days that exist to break you and days that exist to uplift you. There are days where nothing is new, and everything is bleak, and there are days where just a moments respite breathes new life into everything. Yesterday, rather late for me, I was able to get an invite to an XP party from someone that has read my blog, and commented that they like it. It was a moment that did a lot for me, because sometimes writing this blog is more chore than cheer, and when I lack inspiration everything feels stale and worn. Today, I have a new approach, I am enjoying writing this, even though work is baring down. This is not repetition, this is not tedious this is an opportunity to entertain myself, and to fluff my own feathers with the idea that people actually read this to read what I have written. This party was nice, I was able to relax and enjoy, I was able to listen and enjoy the discussions of others without getting angry that they may be wrong or that I may be wrong. Although, I knew I was correct that 50MP is far more useful than +2 MND (+2 MND is 3 HP added to the cap on Cure V), but that is even more divergent than I my normal mental wanderings. So as a present for those that made my day a little brighter, I add this picture of our party as requested. I hope they read this and enjoy.

Further comical inspiration was provided by the 7 foot Ratman. Quite pleased she is to have her head covered with rat/fox head. With the Ratman's assistance I can kill Lesser Colibri outside of Aht Urhgan for 250-350 xp a pop. The Ratman is quite obsessed with their new hat. And the Ratman has a name, provided by Izman, and oh so apropos, and that name is Master Splinter. Splinter is often obsessed, sometimes it is little rat/fox men, sometimes it is cheese or wine, and sometimes it is cleanliness. And in an attempt to follow suit I have pitched some Rare/Ex gear that has been stuffing up my Mog House for what could be years now. Good bye random useless gear that I will never use again! I was 36/60 on my MNK in that XP party last night... I don't think I have had that much space since I was leveling DRG.

On a final note, we had a great sky run yesterday, with Seiryu and Suzaku dropping gear that people actually need and Despot pop in less than 2 hours since he was last killed. I really have no idea how Despot spawns now. Some reports have gone up to 8+ hours, but I highly doubt that something that could pop in as little time as 2 hours would have much beyond an 8 hour window. Now things that start at 8 hours have an issue. I think that part of the issue may be that it actually may spawn like Ix'DRG which basically has no window and just has a chance to spawn when a placeholder is killed. This makes trying to figure out a window very difficult because one just does not exist. I am still kind of following this to see where it goes, but it is very interesting. Oh and do be careful with Despot, it can spawn yellow if the person that has hate or kill shot or something is engaged on another target when it spawns. I would lastly like to mention that I finally got W. Hands last night for my RNG, I have been without them for quite some time but I have always deferred to the RDMs or RNGs that needed them because they will get more use out of them than I will but I will get them made quickly so that I will have them if I need to use RNG for Salvage, and if something ever decides to drop in Arrapago Remnants I will.

I can't claim the "mangina" RSE pants name. I actually remember seeing Berrie call one of her Elvaan friends pants that when they were doing CoP battles. Its in the chatlogs if I recall correctly. The reason I noticed it was that its looks like a out of place stain on white pants directly in the center. ~Thaz
