It's been generally a good week for me. I have gotten some merits, defeated Odin, got Iz and Q their Ares's Hands and done some other things. Iz and Q are now at 3 and 4 out of 5 on Ares's respectively. Iz as already mentioned got his money metal head. But you may also note that he finally got his Homam legs, which took almost as long as it took for him to get his Crimson legs. LOL So in just a couple of days his PLD gear got a large boost. While he will be the first to admit that the Valhalla Helm isn't that great of a piece because of the slow on it, it is a very good kiting piece and decent /WAR piece or a swap in piece for reducing spell damage. Remember it is -5% to all damage not just physical so there are definitely cases where it is very beneficial. It was a good Omega for Iz and for Versus in general,
and on the very next one, the one we did last night for Celestria to try to get her Homam legs, Omoi got her Homam hands! That basically finishes up Omoi's DRG except for an Askar head which will likely come with a little bit of time.
So already talked about Odin a little bit but here are the pictures to go with the description and these weren't even stolen from Omoi! Sure, Omoi may have gotten better shots but that was because she was on BRD while I had to stand at a distance with the RNGs. I would like to thank Obsidian for trusting in me enough to put me in charge of the RNGs. It really didn't make a difference at all because I just stood out of range of the AoE and had the RNGs stand behind me and a rock on the ground could have don't just about as much as I did for "leading" the RNGs, but it was nice to feel they could rely on me for some kind of leadership role considering how often I am able to attend Dynamis. Hey, I am actually showing up more often now that I have a little bit of time! Odin is huge, has to be one of the more large mobs in the game, and he also has great WS animations. For example, this is his spear throw move:
I really like this fight a lot. It's 30 minutes, well 25ish when you consider the time it takes to get into the fight and make sure that everyone is in. It requires a good balance of jobs, with many different people, jobs and roles needing to be filled to make sure that things go well. There is enough unpredictability in the fight to make it so that each fight will not be exactly like the last fight. Now, you might say that it really isn't predictable because we know when Odin will use all of his abilities, but the variation in when the Valkyries arrive and the double effect of some of his TP moves combined with his timed moves can really make you have to deal with crisis quickly. For example, on our run right before Odin hit 9% he used his Terror move, so far more people were killed by Deathga than you would normally expect.
I wish more fights in this game were like this and like Proto-Omega and Proto-Ultima, large but instanced or at least sequestered fights. Similar to Salvage but with more people, even like with the ways that old Sky gods were set up.
Even though I should, I don't have Ares's hands drop shots. :( I was just too happy at the time that we got them both to drop that I didn't even think about taking screenshots of them. LOL I do have a little bit more news though. I finally got my Ethereal Earring fight done! And we even did it with just five and didn't even have a RDM/DRK. Ninjafox was coming with us and on the way decided to change earrings and erased his memories, unfortunately this moved him back in the storyline and thus couldn't come into the fight with us. We gave it a shot anyway, and we handled it pretty well. Still killed the kid pretty quickly but Iz did get beaten up pretty bad because it took longer than we had planned. After that Kam was pretty easy to take down outside of his occasionally strong hits.
Now I just need to finish my cutscenes and get my earring. >.> Oh, Iz and Omoi may kill me now. :)
Finally, I got my wedding suit! I look like a god-damn pimp! :) Iz looks scary to me with his new hat though. o.O; Though I can still take care of business if needed!
Two final thoughts, first, Iceyb if you want more mentions on this blog, then you need to be on more and you need to come to Nyzul with us! Second, Ninjafox is completely gross. LOL

Nyzul Isle: The struggles of a mad man.
Nyzul Isle has always taken a back seat to Salvage for me. Salvage is more of a challenge to me. It requires teamwork, a good working knowledge of every zone, practice and a huge amount of luck. But there is only so much Salvage you can do before losing your mind. Well, not for me exactly, but with the need for new weaponskills especially King's Justice and Drakesbane for Iz and Omoi because they are excellent WS's. Omoi already has her weapon for the Drakesbane, but Iz still needs the Great Axe, and we all still need to get to floor 100 because that is a lot of skillchain points to do without having a floor 100 disc. Also, there is some gear that we are missing because of Nyzul. Like Omoi and Iz could both use an Askar head and Askar body, while I could probably use a few Goliard pieces, and maybe some Denali pieces too. I still need a Windslicer for Tachi: Rana but it is not on the same level of King's Justice or Drakesbane for damage or usefulness.
So we have started doing a little bit of Nyzul Isle now, especially since we have a nice settled Salvage rotation now. Omoi, Iz and I do Salvage 5 days a week usually, some times a little less depending on who is on. That leaves 2-3 tags a week for Nyzul. So we can't do it all that often, but we are on a nice rotation right now. The only problem is that we do it pick up and it can be hard to find people to fill the last slots on runs without rewards. We will get it done, it will just take a little while.
In other news, going to bed early means you get to miss 50k XP in 2 hours. :(

Miscellaneous, et cetera.
You don't really want a Ranger On the Cheap post do you? I don't know shit about Ranger, I don't know how to make a decent Ranger TP set for HNMs, I don't know how to make a decent Ranger TP set for XP. I don't even know how not to die on Ranger. It seems like all I do is die on Ranger. :( I pull hate on everything, and I don't feel like I do anymore damage than any of my other jobs. It sucks. And I don't even have my Crimson Finger Gauntlets made yet. I might be over stating the case here, because I am using Ranger far more right now, and I am actually liking it a lot. There is a lot to learn for it though because it's accuracy is a lot more wonky than for SAM, MNK or NIN. It is gradually moving into the third spot for us after SAM and MNK. I still use NIN to tank a few things but I don't use it for anything at all outside of that anymore. I may have mentioned this all before, but I mention it again because I don't know if I have the general knowledge to do another On the Cheap series for RNG. Give me a couple of weeks to get more comfortable and I will work on it.
So yeah, no dice for you Kallo.
Iceblazek is quitting again. LOL
That was just so Ice could do a Ctrl+F for his name in this post.
I guess I could go over some of my Ranger gear for now, then do a little bit of a recap from the weekend.
Main: Kriegsbeil
Sub: Fransisca
Ranged: Eurytos' Bow
Ammo: Demon Arrow
Head: Wyvern Helm
Neck: Qiqirn Collar
Earring 1: Bushinomimi

Ring 1: Behemoth Ring
Ring 2: Behemoth Ring
Back: Amemet Mantle +1

On the road to Odin.
So Versus has teamed up with Obsidian to do Einherjar, and we have been very successful. The problem for Versus was that we just didn't have the people to do well in Einherjar, and for Obsidian though they have very many skilled people, they are much more used to Dynamis which requires much less precision than Einherjar. The members of Versus fit very well into this because we already had the training we needed and fell right into Obsidian's group and there was success almost instantly. Within a couple of weeks we had our Tier 3 wins and next Tuesday will be our first Odin run. The funny thing is that we came in to work with Obsidian to get Tier 3 wins but we were not able to get our Tier 2 wins before that because we couldn't field much more than an alliance for most Einherjar runs. So we have gone back and gotten at least one Tier 2 win for our members to be able to go to Odin. Tier 2's are generally just as easy as Tier 1's if you have more people. At some point there is a requirement for a certain number of people for Einherjar, meaning it can be low-manned to a point, but the higher the Tier the more people you need just to get out the necessary damage to kill all of the mobs in the time provided. If it was not timed it could be done with far fewer people, but it's not, so you do need more people than normal. So now that we have enough people, we can do Odin. I am really looking forward to it.
Speaking of Obsidian, I did a little Dynamis-San d'Oria yesterday to get my Scout's legs which is one of the last pieces I want for my RNG outside of Salvage pieces. I also want to get a Scout's Belt but my recent acquisition of my new Buccaneer's Belt makes that a much lower priority.
I am really pretty happy about my RNG right now outside of merits, and I don't have to wear those silly purple pants for TP anymore. :)

Trying hard and trying harder.
So, I am back from the Fan Fest. It was definitely great, and I had much more fun than last year, but I do have to say it was much smaller and had much less information. A quick run down on the events.
1. The Swarm - This was fun, and it could even be turned into a decent in game event, if they wanted to. There were 6 characters, WAR/NIN with Conqueror, MNK/WAR with Glanzfaust, THF/NIN with Vajra and Kraken Club, RDM/BLM (I think BLM was the sub, didn't get to use RDM) with Murgleis, BLM/WHM with Laevateinn and WHM/NIN with Yagrush and Kraken Club. I got to play both the MNK and WHM, and I did some Aftermath testing with Glanzfaust (I couldn't do much testing with Yagrush because with off-hand Kraken it would have no discernible increase in attacks because of the eight attack per round limit). With a few tests at 100-300 TP with Glanzfaust, it looks like even the Occasionally Attacks Twice amount was TP dependent also. MNK was subbing WAR so it's hard to say exactly, and I don't want to speculate too much, but at 100TP it seemed pretty low though noticeable, but at 300TP it seemed that I would get a extra attack almost every round. 300TP Ascetic's Fury usually let me get off 2-3 more WS before it the aftermath wore. Couldn't exactly figure out what the addition effect on Focus or Dodge was, and I didn't check on accuracy or attack because I was more concerned about the attacks twice procs. Though I have to say that I didn't ever notice a fourth hand-to-hand round, meaning, I don't know if it automatically limits the additional attack to 1, making it different than the Faith Bags.
I also used WHM, but it was subbing NIN with a Kraken so no results from the occ. attacks twice could be determined from this.
The mobs we fought varied wildly in defense, evasion, etc. But my personal impression with no other factual basis is that after the mythic WS these are really strong weapons, even at 100TP. They are amazing after 300TP, and Ascetic's Fury itself was always 1500+ at 300TP.
Well, that spiraled out of control. LOL The event itself is very fun and you are required to kill all sorts of mobs to get points, some mobs are worth more or less dependent on their type. The largest being a Genbu style mob, and worth the most points. Both times I went as MNK I was the highest scorer, but we never even got close to the total high score.
2. Moblin Maze Mongers - I don't know how borked this was at the time it was available at the Fan Fest, but even the demonstration was having difficulty, and the only time we did it, there was only one mob when we zoned in. I do know that the eye-patch is one of the rewards available from the event. You do get XP from kills and you also get Moblin marbles which can be used to purchase the eye-patch and presumably other items. Also the mobs can appear as NM's because we got a rabbit named Nimble Nathan, and they also drop chests at the end of the event. Other neat things include the ability to adjust the music and the huge number of variables that can be introduced. I don't really know what the final form of this event is going to look like because I think they still had some work they need to finish, because they were rather obtuse about answering questions like "What are the rewards for this?" and "Why was there only one mob to fight?". I think it was probably a good idea to hold off on this, it looked like it needed some polishing.
3. Dev Panel - Mostly just repeats of things we already heard about from Japan, with the addition of a few interesting things. The merits were explained for Dancer and I think that Dancer definitely got the better set of merits. The new AF+1 and AF2 looks pretty good for both jobs, stat-wise. There was mention of new missions and Jeuno flag being available at the end of the Wings storyline, several of the cut scenes were teased and they looked pretty interesting. Other odds and ends of little relevence were also mentioned, but the most important thing to me was that they mentioned that the drop rate for Bhaflau and SSR were going to be increased, but they mentioned that as a future update not the current one. Which means that Iz and NF might have to wait for March for the increased drop rate. :(
4. The concert - I liked it but not really game related.
The disappointment for me was that there were pretty much nothing new in real information, no surprises, nothing for me to drool over. It's sad because the last couple of updates since the Wings expansion have left me kind of very meh. Maybe it is the fact that they are tipping their hand too much in the preview notes, but I feel more like it is because there are more and more things being added to fix the game than to add to new content. Like still no outlands access in the past, still no Walk of Echoes, still no use of those very HNM looking areas in the new zones of the Wings areas. It's not like the game isn't a ton better now, but I just think that these improvements should go hand in hand with more end-game content.
Also, it's time for them to give up on Absolute Virtue and Pandemonium Warden. They are just ridiculous riddles that no one is ever going to figure out. At this point they are not something to take pride in as a developer, they are something to shame a developer. The problem is that they are not difficult monsters to defeat, it is that in their current form without some new direction from the development staff, they will never be defeated without some kind of gimmick or glitch. This is not good game design, it is in fact quite the opposite. It is very poor game design. The mob is not just difficult, and it is not just a gimmick fight, it is both at the same time. Straight up, without multiple two-hours, Absolute Virtue would be a total bitch to fight. The way it is now it is just retarded.
So how did I feel after the Fan Fest? I had a great time, and got to see friends in real life. I got to drink a lot on SE's dime and I got all sorts of neat trinkets. And I was left feeling pretty disappointed in the event and in the update and in the game. :(

God takes a dump on Izman's chest, hates Ninjafox and by transitive property hates Illius.
Sorry Iz. :( I mean it's bad that he didn't get to lot on them and all, but it could have been a lot worse really. To prevent it from getting a lot worse we did Zhayolm instead of Silver Seas, because if the 35 Ares's Legs ever dropped and Iz wasn't there I would take a baseball bat to my nuts. The funny thing is that both of those items were free lot. The Ares's 35 Legs were won by Qtipus, and the Morrigan's 35 Legs were won by Keshdr. A huge congratulations to them both! LOL I know I started out kind of negative but I am definitely happy both of those feet dropped. I just know how hard Iz works to get stuff in the game and he always seems to get fucked out of the stuff he wants. Oh and Keshdr is now officially banned from whining about drops for at least three months because he has completed or gotten the 35 for at least three pieces in the last two weeks. LOL I am going to make Iz give me his password and I will go as him if he can't make a run. The worst part was that Iz has to do some moving around at his place, and didn't want to miss the run at all. :( As for Ninjafox and Illius? Well they are the main Skadi's people, and Skadi's just hates us. We have never seen a Skadi's 35 legs drop, we have only seen one Skadi's 35 hands drop, and we have a ton of Skadi's 35 heads because they are probably the worst piece in the set. Ninjafox has been waiting on those Skadi's Legs for a long time, almost as long as Iz has been used as God's personal S&M gimp. :(
In happier news, I got my Skadi's Jambeaux back already and they are super sweet. I love the enhanced movement speed and I also like them as an excuse to go on RNG more often. Last night I got to test out RNG in Limbus and it worked really well. We went old school and made skill chains! *GASP* LOL Arching Arrow to Spinning Slash for Light and two BLM to MB off it. With 7 people we easily finished Temenos North with plenty of time left. We also did something new to help with avoiding the Cryptonberrys on the second to last floor.
We just had everyone go on follow on me and it let us avoid most of the aggro that could happen, though I rushed the last one and it was a little close but we got out ok. I got the idea from someone that used it to get by the Diabolos in Dynamis-Tavnazia. I was pretty pleased with the run over all considering how few people made it to the run.
As I was saying I am trying to perfect my RNG and its going decently for now. A little bit of XP as seen yesterday and I feel more comfortable about positioning and my gear set-ups. I feel like I am getting closer to knowing what I want to use and what sub I like. I know people suggest /SAM and /WAR but right now I don't feel like my accuracy is good enough for that so I am going to use /NIN for the Fransisca and Kriegsbeil. I am going to pull a little bit of accuracy out for STR like in the earring slot, but outside of that I think I am well balanced. Looking forward to more testing tomorrow.

Killing my blog.
The best way to quickly turn people off of my blog is to start talking about numbers. But I have a parse from last night to talk about and how it effects my Ranger, and since that is my most recent interest it only seems natural to talk about that. Now, I think I am going to turn this into an on going goal. I will discuss each parse but I will also be adding it to my collective parse, and over time maybe some trends will appear. Now, I already know how parses average your damage over time, and how it figures your accuracy, but I am more interested in how the damage plots out. So there we have my damage plotted out as a graph.
Heading home, I will add more to this tomorrow, hopefully with another parse.

Clean up Aisle 7.
Sorry about that post yesterday, it was all screwed up and I didn't have time to fix it before I left, so I will fix it today.
So, I have SAM and MNK now and outside of a few pieces there really isn't much better that I can do for them. That is a good thing because that means that they are ready to go for Versus at anytime, but I think its time to focus on a few more jobs that can help the LS and I think that RNG is the next goal for me. I don't have a mage job besides WHM leveled so I can't really help with non-melee damage if I don't have my RNG ready to go. So, after I finish up a few things that is what I am building up next. I was going to work on my DRG or WAR next, but honestly we have enough of them and they are far better than mine could be. RNG we are really weak on, and also on ranged damage, so that is going to be my focus.
There are two problems though. First, all my merits are tied up in SAM, MNK and NIN. NIN like I said has shifted over to mostly being a tank job, so I think I am going to pull out my Katana merits, and shift them over to Archery. The second problem is that I don't really know how to gear up my RNG. I know mostly what is best for RNG, and I know what I am missing, but I don't know how to balance ranged accuracy with STR and ranged attack. Right now I am looking at using this set-up for my TP build: It seems to me that it is a little bit accuracy heavy, but meh, I am paranoid about RNG accuracy, so I will keep it for a while until I get comfortable with it. That leads me to my WS set right now which is very heavily accuracy based because I use Sidewinder a lot.
LOL, I think the only difference is in the feet right now, because I really am pretty paranoid about missing a Sidewinder. I could probably shift some things around and get some better stats for the same accuracy, but I am not sure about that yet. It has been suggested that on higher accuracy mobs that Arching Arrow may be a better choice. It still has a decent fTP modifier, it can be shot regularly at 100TP, and it has a chance to Crit which is always nice. Also, food choice effects a lot of what I can do, Sushi will make things much easier to hit but Meat will obviously increase damage. Right now I am basically doing tests to figure out what the best set-ups I can use for different things. I am actually pretty comfortable with my TP set now. But lets think to the future, because I have quite a few good pieces in store for my RNG and it is one of the reasons that I have been pushing forward with it.
Lets look at my "future" TP build for my RNG. Ok, lets look at the differences. First of all is the head piece, Zha'Go's Barbut which looks to be an incredibly good piece for RNG. Lots of ranged accuracy and attack, a decrease in enmity, and pretty importantly it has the enhance Snapshot effect, which will likely decrease the delay of a Ranged Attack by 2%. That will stack well with my Snapshot merits, whenever I get them. LOL Crimson Finger Gauntlets are next, and I already have the abjuration for them, just need to pick up the cursed finger gauntlets. Thinking I might try to get the HQ version of them, but don't know if I want to wait for long enough to get them while I still have people to pay back. The next piece is the Buccaneer's Belt, which I think I already have enough points from Einherjar to get and if I don't then I am close because Iz got his Ritter Gorget last week, so I think I am close. Right now, I am just using a Precise Belt which Omoi got me. :) This will be a step up in Ranged Accuracy, STR and it even has negative enmity too. Next is Scout's Braccae. Funny story here. I have been 4/5 on RNG AF2 for something like 2 years now, but I have never gotten a chance to get the legs, which are pretty much the only good piece for RNG besides the feet. LOL I don't know if want to go with these or the Pahluwan legs in general, but they definitely look much cooler than the P. Legs. Finally, I need to get Skadi feet done, I have all the parts for it, but I still need the stack of Marid hides and the coins. I should have done it a while ago, but meh. Part of my dilemma is that I don't know if they are better or worse for TP build than Scout's Socks.
Anyway, enough about my RNG. I still have a lot to work on for it, but at least today I am going to be able to get some XP in.

More flash and more bang.
So, yesterday was a little bit of a recap on SAM macros, today will be MNK.
Lets dive right in.
MNK TP Macro:
input /equip main "Destroyers";
input /equip ammo "Goblin Cracker";
input /equip ear1 "Merman's Earring";
input /equip head "Usukane Somen";
input /equip ear2 "Brutal Earring";
input /equip neck "Faith Torque";
input /equip ring1 "Ulthalam's Ring";
input /equip body "Usukane Haramaki";
input /equip ring2 "Blood Ring";
input /equip hands "Usukane Gote";
input /equip back "Charger Mantle";
input /equip waist "Black Belt";
input /equip legs "Usukane Hizayoroi";
input /equip feet "Usukane Sune-ate";
This is pretty simple, but some of the non-main areas require a little bit of explanation. The Goblin Cracker is to cut down on a loss of HP and Evasion from the Tiphia Sting. The Merman's Earring is my shame, because I still haven't gotten my Ethereal Earring. There just isn't as much time as I would hope to get it done, and since it is only for one job it doesn't get that much precedence. Finally, I believe the Charger Mantle is the best choice for MNK even for TP build because the difference in STR isn't going to change my damage as much as the Attack will if I have the numbers right.
For my AF WS Macro:
input /equip main "Destroyers";
input /equip ammo "Tiphia Sting";
input /equip ear1 "Merman's Earring";
input /equip head "Hissho Hachimaki";
input /equip ear2 "Coral Earring";
input /equip neck "Faith Torque";
input /equip ring1 "Ulthalam's Ring";
input /equip body "Shura Togi";
input /equip ring2 "Blood Ring";
input /equip hands "Temple Gloves";
input /equip back "Charger Mantle";
input /equip waist "Life Belt";
input /equip legs "Shura Haidate";
input /equip feet "Usukane Sune-ate";
input /ja "Boost"
pause 1.8;
input /equip hands "Ochiudo's Kote";
input /ws "Asuran Fists"
And further I fall... :( Tiphia Sting is back because I have a lot of negative HP gear in my WS and it isn't really going to hurt me much more than what I am already losing, and the negative evasion is only for a moment or two during the WS. The earring problem is caused because of my lack of an Ethereal Earring explained above. Faith Torque? Well, I am still wishy-washy on the whole Sea gorget issue for multi-hit WS, but I will probably change that when I get home tonight.
Now, MNK has another WS here that I need to include which is Chakra. I use this quite a bit because of the added regen that I get from it, which is great in Salvage.
input /equip ammo "Bibiki Seashell";
input /equip head "Genbu's Kabuto";
input /equip body "Temple Cyclas";
input /equip hands "Melee Gloves";
input /equip waist "Warwolf Belt";
input /ja "Chakra"
pause 2;
input /equip ammo "Goblin Cracker";
input /equip head "Usukane Somen";
input /equip body "Usukane Haramaki";
input /equip hands "Usukane Gote";
input /equip waist "Black Belt";
Hope these macros help. More tomorrow.

All new, bright and shiney...
Ok, a little macro work. My SAM has now had a very large change compared to my MNK. I am not even thinking about my NIN yet, because that is almost exclusively a tank job now, and honestly, even though Versus has gotten a lot smaller recently because of some questionable defections, we have been doing much better in general with smaller numbers, so I haven't been losing much XP on NIN and don't really need to get much buffer back. We did 3 Byakko's this past weekend with around 12 people, which was a lot smaller numbers than we normally try it with, and it ended up going far better than many of our other Byakko's in the past. It seems that in the purge we may have lost some chaff and that operations have improved with fewer people. We didn't get any Byakko's Haidate but we did get some Neptunal Hands for Illius and a couple of pretty unwanted Dryadic Legs. Also got some money items, which when split between fewer people leaves a much better pay check. Anyway, off the point a little bit but I have reworked my SAM and MNK macros, so lets go over those for a little bit.
SAM TP macro:
input /equip main "Hagun";
input /equip sub "Pole Grip";
input /equip ammo "Tiphia Sting";
input /equip ear1 "Bushinomimi";
input /equip head "Usukane Somen";
input /equip ear2 "Brutal Earring";
input /equip neck "Justice Torque";
input /equip ring1 "Rajas Ring";
input /equip body "Usukane Haramaki";
input /equip ring2 "Ulthalam's Ring";
input /equip hands "Usukane Gote";
input /equip back "Amemet Mantle +1";
input /equip waist "Swift Belt";
input /equip legs "Usukane Hizayoroi";
input /equip feet "Usukane Sune-ate";Ok, that is pretty simple. Right now, I am thinking about making a few changes, including going from Tiphia Sting to Goblin Cracker until I get a Black Tathlum because the Goblin Cracker has the same accuracy, less attack but less lost evasion and HP. I am also considering switching to Sword Strap depending on if I have enough Store TP to support it. The calculations pretty clearly support Sword Strap if you do not lose your 6-hit set-up. Finally, I need to get a Forager's Mantle to replace my Amemet Mantle +1. Hell, I am going to do the calculations for the Sword Strap now, to see if it is even an option.
Hagun Delay: 450
Post Sword Strap Delay: 436.5
Base TP: 11.1
Total Store TP: +54
Adjusted TP gain: 17.0
So, yes, I will be switching to Sword Strap. And just to be clear, on WS I will still get enough for this to work. And that's that. I wouldn't suggest using Sword Strap if you have to give up any Haste at all, because the delay reduction is worse than Haste. This is because there is only one source of delay reduction compared to Haste sources which are by comparison plentiful.
SAM WS macro:
input /equip main "Hagun";
input /equip sub "Pole Grip";

I have been considering using Usukane Haramaki over Kirin's Osode because it would have a gain of about 10~11 accuracy for a loss of 2 STR, ~1 attack and 2 DEX for whatever amount of crits that is worth. The problem is that I think I am generally very close to the accuracy cap on WS on merit mobs, but it would definitely be better for end-game mobs that require more accuracy.

Simple and effective, but I still have mine in an in-game macro and I want to switch it over to a Windower macro.
The only other macros I have don't require more than one or two lines and no gear switching. Yes, I know I am leaving out a defense macro. Honestly, I have never found a situation where I have really needed it or that it would make a huge difference. I am not Rukenshin that can tank stuff solo on SAM that I would need to duo tank on NIN. XD For places that I use my SAM (which will increase with Usukane, but I will get to that in a minute) I have not found carrying all that extra gear that important. Seigan and Third Eye do most of the work, or I am on MNK and have shadows. Salvage is a perfect example. With good mages (which we have in relative abundance) we can put three melees on a chariot boss with just a WHM, RDM and BRD. We sometimes limit it based on TP given to the boss, but really, they just go all out. The three DD's are usually WAR/NIN, MNK/NIN and DRG/SAM right now, but it does include other /SAM jobs from time to time. Our DRG/SAM has a relic so it's not like he isn't taking direct damage either. The point is that effective mages are more important to us than damage reduction. If I find something that needs the defensive gear, I will make one, until that time... meh.
I will probably go over the changes I have made to MNK and make some more macros for MNK tomorrow.

Thank you, America and on with the show.
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone in America that voted. Record turnout. No matter your vote, democracy in America is stronger for it.
Out with the old. And in with the new.
And I even stick the landing!
Yay! It's finally done! Took me a while and a bit of borrowed gil to get it done, but I did it! Full Usukane set! Weeee!
Thank you to everyone that no only helped me to get the gil and the Imperial Wootz Ingots, but also all of the pieces for the entire set! Thank you!
And now for the nerd alert, I need to fix my macros, and I thinking about going over to full XML macros now. That will require some knowledge about XML and I have none, so it may take a while, but I am going to give it a try. In the mean time, I am going to rework a long of my equipment change macros now. I am also going to switch over to full Usukane on SAM too, which is going to take much more time than it did to switch over on MNK. Once I have the new macros together, I will post them here as a guide to help people make their macros and make them more universal.
I only got to squeeze in an SSR run last night that of course dropped nothing and didn't even supply the Usukane 25 feet for Keshdr, but at least I got to enjoy doing this: Mwhahaha!
Anyway, off to work on my macros for a little while. I might try to post them today but I don't know if I will have time.

No fucking excuses. Stop reading this fucking blog and go fucking vote.
When you get back there will be a real blog post.

Dancer is like Halloween Candy.
So, without my prior knowledge Omoi, Ninjafox and I all leveled DNC yesterday. I think this is because all three of us want to use it for Campaign and for solo/low-man stuff. Omoi got a bunch of levels on her DNC, while Ninjfox and I teamed up for some late night leveling but only got a couple of levels a piece. Dancer is fun to play in small groups for a little while but afterward I am left a little empty, quite like Halloween candy. I want to do it while I am doing it, but I am left without a compelling interest to continue it after I have swapped to another job, I just feel like its too much to switch back. LOL Dancer is like empty calories.
Anyway, I think the rest of this post is going to be dedicated to helping out Iceyb with a question that he has about Dancing Edge. Now, I will preface this as always by saying that I am not perfect on these calculations, so keep that in mind. Essentially, Iceblazek asked me if he had too much DEX on his Dancing Edge and should instead be focusing more on STR. I gave him some general advise, but I am going to do some of the calculations to help him out.
First, lets look at the modifiers for Dancing Edge. For all TP levels the damage modifier is 1.1875 for the first hit, and then like all WS it 1.0 for the rest of the hits. Then the stat modifiers are DEX 30% and CHR 40%, so lets haul out our WS damage formula!
Damage = WD * PDIF = (( D + fSTR + WSC) * fTP) * PDIFAnd no I am not going to explain Weapon Damage or pDIF again, I have already done that once and it took me days and I think part of my soul is dead now because of it. ; ; Anyway, we just need a part of the equation really, because it is the meat of the matter.
The three main points are the D, fSTR and WSC. The D is just the damage listed on the weapon. The fSTR is... a long list of things, but to quickly boil it down, you get 1 more fSTR every 4 STR that you add. I am going to suggest that you could almost think of this as a 25% modifier, even though that is not true. It is a function that is rounded down, until you get to the next whole number, and it is also based on STR versus VIT of the mob, but if you think of it as one in four STR giving you an increase in fSTR then it is easier to make the comparison, even if it is not helpful for finding raw damage. WSC is the part of the calculation that considers the effect of the other mods, it is reduced by a level correction, but you probably only need to know the correction for 75, which is .83.
So for Dancing Edge if you want to compare STR to say DEX, you would say that STR you get .25 of each STR versus .30 of DEX multiplied by .83 or .249 which is very close to the damage you would get from STR.
Ah ha! It's not that simple though, because STR adds to attack, and DEX adds to accuracy, etc. AND! I could be wrong about all these estimates and I will update this tomorrow to get a better idea of the situation, and to help Iceyb! :)

Winding down.
The benefit of doing the Campaign Ops in the beastman strongholds is definitely dying off a little bit. We got a Cuchulain's Belt last week and the price on that is already dropping. This week we only got one Witch's Sash so far so that isn't very much gil, but it is at least a little bit more for another Imperial Wootz Ingot. I can't really decide if I want to buy them now or if I want to wait to see if they come back down a little bit. My fingers are crossed that they might drop down to about 800k after this next weekend, there are now another bunch of Ingots on the AH so hopefully they will drop. I am going to be busy for the next couple of weeks again, so my farming and leathercraft is going to slow down. :( I really can't get my mind off of getting my ingots for more than a couple of days at a time. I am getting closer, but it still seems so far away.
I have done a few other things recently, like I did a little campaign and I saw the new Siege Weapons running around all over the place. At first I thought all three of them looked like the Orc one, and that there weren't any differences between the different the races. The Orcish Turret was the first one that I ran into and the way it looked just confirmed my belief. That was until I saw the Quadav Turret which was completely different.
The Yagudo one is also different, but I don't have a screen shot of it. :( They are really good looking models and they are freaking huge too. I got some decent campaigns in my very sparse free time when I was not farming and skilling up on leathercrafting. It was a fun break, and I also got to level my DNC to 18 yesterday which was another nice little break, but I don't see it lasting for long until I get my Usukane Harimaki completed.
Finally, I wanted to congratulate Omoi for completing her Marduk's Tiara. Very sexy, and a great piece for her BRD. :) Yay!

As of last night...
Well, I was going to be nice to Kallo. I wasn't going to rub it in, because I know that he has missed getting his first Salvage piece completed just because he has missed a run here or there, and this is especially true with what has happened on Sunday's run where we actually got a lot of things that we needed to get out of the way. There are a couple of Salvage related issues that are very specific to the groups that I go with that I wanted to bring up, but first lets start with Kallo.
1. I hate you, Kallo.
2. I wasn't going to gloat about my awesome new Skadi 35 feet that I have for a job that I rarely use and for a job that I only plan on leveling much later and for a job that is your main and currently only job at 75.
3. Maybe you should think about making old jokes on your blog, asshat.
*cough*
I feel much better now! Sure, he gets the funny zinger, but I get the super hot Skadi feet for running around in! If you wanted to use a political analogy he is Obama with all his funny comments and popular support, and I am McCain with all my bitterness and being a have to Kallo's have not. And in the end I am totally the winner!!!
Wait...
FUCK!
Anyway, the other point I wanted to talk about was the status of free lots for Salvage. Basically, I cribbed my lotting notes from Celestria completely when it comes to Salvage. My old system worked for a little while, but was very drop dependent and often caused us to do the same runs over and over. So after basically not only copying everything in the runs from Celestria, I also adopted her lotting system. Basically, everyone gets two priority pieces and they help to focus what runs we do and when we do them, and then anything else that drops is free lot (for job and level). There are times that I will make a decision on a free lot item if there is a specific long time member that obviously deserves the item over someone else that does not use another job very often. I think that I have done that maybe one time. Sometimes, I think I have a good idea of how "fair" I should be about who gets what jobs, but then again maybe I don't. I could do it on strictly on attendance, but then all of the older member's likely will get a bunch of things that could go to new members for jobs they use more often. No one in Celestria's or my groups are very greedy at all, but even then the lure of a free 35 is very nice. Believe me, I just got Skadi 35 feet free lot and I was hoping no one else was going to lot against me. :) I think that free lotting non-priority drops is probably the best way to be the most fair to everyone. Sometimes free lots don't turn out for everyone, but sometimes to they do.
In this game, the most difficult thing for someone that is running an LS honestly is to find the best way to distribute gear fairly. This is especially true of low-man events like Salvage where some of the members can be transient at times out of no fault of their own. So, I think I will stick with free-lotting non-priority items, even more than I have in the past. I just think it is the right thing to do.

The great turn around.
I don't know what happened really. All I used to want to do is level new jobs, get Rare/Ex gear, and merit. Things that rarely required money. I did struggle to come up with new gil to even pay for things like Limbus or food, but it was a nice time. Then I got my Usukane 35 mask, then shortly after I got my Usukane 35 body, and I really wanted to get those completed. So I shifted my priorities, times when I normally would XP or sadly, assist other people, I have started spending on farming. Now farming may not be the most efficient way to build up gil, but it is very useful for leveling leathercrafting which is like the only craft that you can actually level reasonably well and to a very high level while farming. I do have this to say about farming to skill-up leathercrafting: do not be afraid of level gaps, especially ones before level 60. I was able to bridge a 12 level gap with synth support, and while I did break quite a bit the skill-ups came fast enough to not really matter. And even if you do break but you don't use the hide you are skilling off of then you can just synth again for another chance at a skill up. I even did this above level 60 and though it did take a little longer it still was not unreasonable compared to the cost of making a gap item just for skill ups. Luckily above 71 I can avoid major gaps until about 85, then it is rough to 100 but not much I can do to avoid that. Anyway, I have been making decent money as of late, and for the first time in probably two or three years I have over a million gil on my person! The problem is that over the last week Imperial Wootz Ingots shot up 200k to 1 million gil a piece. Well, at least I have one Ingot on me now, but really I don't think that the price of Imperial Wootz Ingots is sustainable at 1 million because there were a ton of the ingots up for several days at that price and they are all dropping off the AH now without being purchased. So, I am going to hang onto my gil for now, and hope they come back down at least a little bit. Part of my gil influx came just yesterday from doing a couple of Plucking Wings BC fights. The fight from what I understand is easier than the Sandy version, though the extra spawns are close enough to link no matter how far away you pull the main NM.
The extra spawns are very weak though, and can be killed in two SAM WS's. The NM just basically spams spells that are always AoE, and during it's two hour it will spam AoE AM spells. LOL They aren't that strong though and as long as you are at max HP you will always be able to take them without dying. On our first run we managed to get a Roundel Earring, which we are currently trying to sell, and I got some other junk which I sold to get me over the 1 mil gil mark! Woot!
If that sells, I might be able to get two Ingots, and then I have almost enough to get another ingot on the mule that I sell all of my crafting and farming stuff. So that is three ingots right there, and then I have the gil that Ailee has on her, which she is letting me use, but I know she would prefer to have me use that gil to make more gil rather than just spending it, but I don't know if I have the patience or the attentiveness to actually make gil with clothcrafting. Anyway, even if I don't try to use Ailee's gil to make gil and just use it to buy more ingots I would be able to get three more and that puts me at a total of 6! Half way there!
I have pretty much neglected a lot of other things that we have been doing lately and after a drought in Salvage we have finally gotten a few more drops that helped to complete some of the items that people have been waiting on for a long time. Lets start with Illius because it really was his week, last week. First, after waiting something like 6 months Illius got his Duelist Chapeau. That, of course, is not Salvage related but it is still pretty important for him and it's definitely something I wanted to congratulate him about, but for the Salvage related item, Illius finally got his Skadi's Jambeaux! Now he can be all speedy in Salvage when he comes on THF! :) It is his first completed piece, and he beat Kallo to them (thank God!). In further Skadi news, Ninjfox got enough of those Orichalcum Ingots to finish up his Skadi's Visor!
That puts Ninjafox at three completed Skadi pieces and with only the body and legs left to complete. And for the finale, the body which has eluded both of our Salvage groups (Celestria's and mine) for quite a long time now has finally reared its ugly head, and not just once but twice! The Peryton finally popped and drop the Skadi 35 body which we had never even seen before!
The first one went to Blaize who had it on priority in both of our groups, and has been waiting on it for more than a year. He has now completed his Skadi set, which is awesome and he is only the second person to complete a Salvage set across our two groups.
Congratulations Blaize, and Ninjafox and Illius! It was a Skadi week all the way around!
You might think this post has been rather positive and upbeat, but I don't want you to get the wrong impression. I am still my normal angry, bitter self and here is some proof.
This fucktard posted this last week about my post ranting about RMT.
Anonymous Dain said...
"King of the Douches. Might as well fucking pop your collar, get a tribal tattoo and officially change your name to Chad."
Rip off B&B much?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fad6eZTDikA
That statement is about as original as your post.
OH MY GOD! YOU TOTALLY CAUGHT ME!
God damn you are a dumb ass. Of course I got it from that, that is why it is fucking funny you moron. It's not a fucking rip off, it's a god damn homage, and its something that was directed to me by Izman and I thought it was hilarious so I included it because it was funny, and because Izman would get the in-joke about that line.
Dain, do everyone a favor, stop pissing in the gene pool and blow your fucking brains out. Please? Come on... do it for America!
Love,
ring
PS. Yes, I do know that pissing in the gene pool is not an original comment, and was even the name of a Henry Rollin's book of prose, which was probably published before you were fucking born kid.
PPS. It's not a good idea to try to insult a guy on his own blog, you are always going to lose, because it is my fucking blog, and I always get the last fucking word, moron.
*Huggles* for everyone else that commented on that post, people like Cel and Q really got me thinking about the whole situation and helped me come to my more soft line conclusion. In the end, Cel said it best when she said, that even though a fool and their gil are soon parted (yes, Dain, that one isn't original either, idiot) there are limits to how far they will go. And I think that really is the most important part. As long as people remember that limits are good, everyone will be better off. :)

Reconsidered.
So, I may have my opinions as does everyone, but I sometimes wonder if people think about their opinions. I know that I do, and I do it quite a bit. I am the first person to say that I am wrong when I reconsider things. I have no concerns for consistency over intellectual honesty, in other words I have no problem changing my mind and admitting it. And I have changed my mind on something and I have changed it pretty quickly. I don't think it's so bad that people make money off of people that buy gil. I think the problem is that my pragmatism was being overwhelmed by my sense of morality and general anger at the state of the economy. I was finding gremlins where ever I looked and that is not a good state of mind to be in. Let me say that I still think it is a bad idea, and I do think that people could do a better job of policing themselves. The problem is that it is hard to make money in this game, and I don't think at this point it is necessary for me to deride people that are just trying to get by. Basically, I was taking a vow of poverty, but doing it unintentionally, and I don't want to wish that onto any of my friends ever. Also, I was tilting at windmills. I have absolutely no control over other people buying gil, so why worry so much about it? I probably won't ever be in a position to make gil on people like that to begin with, but I have friends that can do it. Why should I be yelling at them, instead of just yelling at the people that are buying the gil? That's right, I shouldn't.
No, I am not being sarcastic. I do wish that the gil buyers that buy Imperial Wootz ingots in groups of 12 driving up the price massively would die in a fire though. :)

Univerally good.
So, as you might have noticed dear reader, I am not always on my best behavior. What can I say? I have a tendency to tilt to the extreme and that sometimes garners some kind of support but usually just ends up alienating most everyone. I am perfectly fine with that, because although my opinions may not be universally accepted they are still universally true, and if people want to exist in utter wrongness, well that is their choice. Their bad choice. :) There I did it again. LOL Ok, so I am not always right, but I am at least always well intentioned unlike many people. I believe that I, unlike many people in this game and many people in the real world, can balance the needs of self with the needs of others, and more importantly I can view the world in a balance rather than some kind of evil state of nature where mothers eat their own young out of greed and sheer spite. The problem I have is that this high horse on which I ride can get to be pretty difficult to dismount without quite a big fall. But my problems are mine, and I would much rather be on a high horse than rolling around with swine.
These are the concerns of a know-it-all dork. I feel like I know a lot but what do I really know a lot about? FFXI? LOL The notion that this knowledge has some kind of intrinsic worth in any kind of society is delusional at best, and really that is what separates me from those that I hate so dearly. My self-delusion stops at the water's edge. I have many other but probably equally uninteresting things to alienate people in my real life. LOL The point is that I can point and laugh at myself and how intensely I take the game and other issues. It's the people that can't, and that get so upset that someone has a different opinion than themselves, that are the real source of conflict in the world. These people, (usually Republicans, LOL) are angry not because other people have opinions, but because those opinions disagree with theirs.
What is with this random diatribe? Well, because there are nice people in the world. People like Izman and Omoikitte, who never cause conflicts with other people, who are understanding and helpful to the end, and people who often cause people to get mad at them just because they are who they are... and it those people that resent people like Izman and Omoikitte that make me laugh. I have to wonder how people could become so base and small that they start to resent people because they do not devote their entire lives to helping them. How selfish and twisted do you have to become to blame someone else that helps consistently for not helping even more? There is a bitter end waiting people like that, and you may ask who could become like that? But in the end there are whole strings of people like that, people that refuse to take the lead or help themselves, but in their own self-resentment refocuses that frustration on the least logical but most obvious target. The worst part is the complete disconnect people like this experience, the fact that they can't even clue in on the fact that they are being resentful because of their personal justifications for their own feelings. It's pathetic really. :(
So to people like Izman and Omoikitte, people that stand out for being helpful, friendly and great people, I praise you. And for people like me? Well, you can yell at me instead. :)

Where did the happiness go?
My blog lately has been a bit... what's a good word for it... let's see... bitter? Angry? A little off kilter? Maybe, maybe not. But hey, insanity gets the blog hits right?
So, in an attempt to get some of the love back into your fucking O's Kote, lets focus on the positive, and think of the bright side of life! Ok, so I am now looking at about 12 million in Imperial Wootz Ingots coming up, because the price has skyrocketed recently. Luckily at least part of this cost is going to be offset by the complete awesomeness that is Ailee! Woot! She has quit/super-long-term breaked, and has let me use her account for the gil on it and for crafting. She is a long time 100 Clothcrafter with a good amount of gil standing around collecting dust. Well, I say, collect dust to more and be free gil! FREE! FLY AWAY and bring me the sweet nectar of Imperial Wootz Ingots! The sad thing is that I don't know the clothcraft market, and I don't even know how to work it. The leathercraft market is much different and a decent profit can be made in semi-consumables, which is where I am making a good portion of my money right now. With clothcrafting, from what I heard from Ailee when she was talking to me about it, it is more like you need to craft a bunch of things and bank on the HQ's. She is now telling me that I can no longer complain about money because I can just use Ailee to make more money. :( This blog is going to get really short really quick if I can't do any complaining about money. LOL
Well, at least I have some place to start, probably have enough in gil to get at least 4 Imperial Wootz ingots, which is already a third of the way to get it completed. I will find out tonight how I am doing on gil. :)

A return to normalcy.
How about a recap? Haven't had one of those in weeks now? And its a good move away from the bomb-throwing of my last and much commented upon entry. :) And by the way, for those that disagreed with me, have you ever thought to consider the fact that you logic can be used to defend and justify the absolutely worst and most gross violations of the game rules and general acceptability because it is the moral equivalent to throwing your hands up in the air and declaring surrender, while my position may condemn a few people that have earned their gil legitimately but doesn't require me to be bedfellows with account thieves and gil-buyers.
Anyway, on with the show.
Ok, lets start with some non-Salvage related stuff. I got some Rostrum Pumps for my WHM, which help to round out my end-game equipment. Even with them though, I feel like my WHM is woefully under prepared for end-game activities even though I have used it for them already. The problem is not in the equipment, it is in my skill levels and my lack of merits. The cure cast time merits are what I feel worst about, because they really seem to be very good for WHM. The point is that I have a long way to go, and I basically can never XP or anything but do events and farm anymore, at least until I get my Usukane Harimaki completed. At least I am doing well at that so far, and I am already about halfway to my first ingot, and I am skilling up my leathercrafting at the same time. ^.^
The next non-Salvage thing was that we did one of the new BC's in the Wings-era beastmen strongholds, in this case La Vaule. I have gone over this before and posted about some of the NM's, but this is the first time we did the BC's. The fight is not that bad, but it can be a bit tough because the boss can use a large damage AoE, and it has an "aura" that gives everyone around it Flash. The "aura" can come and go and it seems like the use of the AoE move leaves when it's "aura" goes away. The drops were pretty marginal outside of this: Iz's new ugly head! LOL It is very nice, and Iz didn't even mean to lot it because he wanted something else but before hand he missed the lot on it and had to pick to lot on the head, and he won it. LOL It is very, very good piece for most jobs. I don't know if I would use it on SAM, because I don't know if the 1 STR is more than the loss in accuracy from using the Shura Kabuto, but it is good for almost every other DD.
I might have mentioned that I need to farm up a bit of gil. LOL I am working on it and it is going well, but in my wanderings in Zi'Tah I found out that there is a rock formation that you can climb up on top of pretty easily and you can fall in between the rocks and get trapped. And then you need your friendly neighborhood GM to get you out. The part that I wish I had gotten a screen shot of was the comment they made about being stuck between a rock and a hard place, and then their lament about the fact that they can not make decent jokes because of the strict policies that the GM's have to follow when dealing with players. The comment the GM made about the joke being bad was definitely much more enjoyable than the joke itself. Also, related to farming is the fact that after almost three year of kind of wanting it, I got a Gondo-Shizunori!
I know, it's not the top Polearm, and not even the top Polearm for SAM, but I have wanted one for a long time. I don't know when I will be able to unlock it, but I hope it happens eventually. :)
Now, with the non-Salvage things out of the way, lets get down to business. First, thank you to Iz for helping me out with 4 O. Ingots to finish up my Usukane Somen! Thanks a ton Iz! But now everyone else needs O. Ingots including Omoi, Hiryo, Iz and Ninjafox. Omoi needs them now because she just got this:
Nice froggie! We got that on one of our best Zhayolm runs we have ever done, killed both froggies and killed the boss with 10 minutes left. It was great! :)
Salvage has been a little bit better lately but SSR still sucks. :(
To wrap up, I got to see Elfie a little bit last week and Elfie, being Elfie was able to give me a couple of nuggets for the blog! I <3 Elfie!

I can neither confirm or deny that statement.
I have been overwhelmed, but the bitching about the lack of posts has gotten to the point where I can't pass on making a new post.
Enough with excuses, on with the posts.
I think this would be a good time for a rant post because some of the same old issues that have come up in the past are coming up again, and I want to address them. I am fucking sick and tired of assholes that claim they are so fucking smart because they sell end-game gear to gil buyers and have tons of gil now and look down on other people that actually care about where their gil comes from. Fucking douche bags can die in a fucking fire. The newest reason for this is from the ability to kill AV for a couple of days before they nerfed KC DRKs on it. What kind of fucking people don't let their own freaking LS lot on AV drops and instead sells them for gil? I mean seriously, what the fuck. Why the fuck do these people play this game? Sure some people want the gil, but at what fucking point is this just a second job to get gil for yourself, and having no pride or ethics about responsibility to get gear for your LS. I have seen so pretty fucking atrocious situations, where LS leaders take what they want, then force the rest of the LS to pay for items that the leaders got for free. I don't know who is more of a toolbox, the person that is ass-raping their own LS, or the person getting ass-raped. I am not usually one to blame the victim, and to me assholes that take advantage of people usually make me want to drive to their houses and light their beds on fucking fire, but the victims in this case are doing it voluntarily, so they both can go fuck off for all I care.
Let me be completely fucking clear on this next point, I have said it before, but it only gets worse as time goes on. If you are selling AV drops or other drops like that for insane amounts of gil, then you are buying gil. I can't make it anymore clear than that. And I just love the fuckers that get their panties in a bunch about being called gil buyers when they get called out for that, but it's the fucking case. At least fucking accept it. A huge majority of that gil that people are using to pay these insane prices comes from the gear that the RMT sold off of the accounts they fucking stole from people. Taking that gil from those fucking gil buying assholes links you directly with stealing fucking accounts.
I fucking hate it, but most of all I fucking hate those people that take pride in the fucking situation. They think they are so scary smart because they think they understand "supply and demand". The problem is on two levels, first you aren't the first person to figure out something you could learn in Intro to Microeconomics, and second, it's not fucking supply and demand. The whole fucking market is distorted by people BUYING FUCKING GIL. It's the exact opposite of supply and demand, because those two words aren't the only factor in determining prices. It is completely distorted if they money just comes from something outside of the monetary system.
Now, you might ask, why do I care? You want to know why I care? Because it fucks me right in the ass too. If retarded people buy gil then use it to buy high-end gear, then that gil is spread into the economy, and fucks with the prices on everything. Even worse is that it doesn't just causes inflation on key items, but causes deflation on everything else, because the people that don't fucking buy gil or use gil from gil-buyers, have to work harder to get more gil to keep up, which causes more farming and more items to flood the market, pushing down fucking prices, and it ends up killing the income of people that don't feel like using gil from gil-buyers is a good fucking thing to do.
So, seriously, everyone can just fuck off about all their gil-buying, whether it happens directly or indirectly. You aren't fucking better, you are just a fucking cheater. And for the most part, people like that are attention whores too. They have so much fucking money that they have relics before the even level the fucking job to use it. But since they have their little butt-buddies running around building fucking birdhouses in the bungholes, they feel that they are somehow justified in being universal douchebags. These people can go hang out with the people that are proud they bot and both of them can fucking blow me to completion 7 times a day. Just because you managed to find other people that think that being a douchebag is a fucking sport doesn't mean you are fucking cool, it just means that you are the fucking King of the Douches. Might as well fucking pop your collar, get a tribal tattoo and officially change your name to Chad.
So, yeah, I am fucking bitter, I can't fucking get an Imperial Wootz Ingot let alone 12 because people buy fucking gil, and don't fucking care about conserving their fucking money when they can just buy more. I have to worry about my account getting stolen because fuckers won't stop buying gil, AND because people will charge them insane prices for shit they should be giving to their LS. There are too many fucking rare items in this game to fucking sell that shit off instead of giving it to deserving people in your own fucking LS.
I don't know if I feel better, and I know that the douchebags just love it when people get pissed about what they do because, well fuck, they are douchebags, but man, if you might have a bit of decency in your fucking heart, remember this is a fucking game, and not high school. And just because you were a fucking dork in high school doesn't mean you should act like the kids that use to make fun of you back then. Being proud that you cheated in a video game to get a ton of gil isn't going to make up for the fact that you couldn't even get a hand job from the ugly chick in your English class.
Well, now I do feel a little bit better, because the truth fucking hurts. :)
Back to happy regular Ring tomorrow. I have a good amount to update, but just wanted to have some fun today.
